Rippowam Picture Day – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Rippowam picture day is Thursday, October 1. We are in need of two volunteers for the following shifts: 7:30-9 and 12-1:45. If you are available to volunteer, please contact Michele Somody at somody@sbcglobal.net

PTO Meeting
Our first PTO meeting is scheduled for Oct 1st at 7:00 pm in the CyberCafe.  Please come to our Meet and Greet, jointly hosted by the PTO and administration.  This will give you an opportunity to learn about the goals and plans for this coming year from our principal.  Meet PTO and staff members, and learn about ways to get involved.
Physical Education Fundraiser

***The major prize, for every student, is the NEW Physical Education equipment we plan to purchase with the funds raised. The more we raise, the more equipment we can purchase. Every bit helps so please sell what you can! ***

Calling all Creative Minds…

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities which range from building mechanical devices to presenting dramatic interpretations of literary classics. By tapping into creativity, this unique program encourages imaginative paths to problem solving and teaches useful skills for a lifetime.  You can find additional information on the attachedStamford Youth Foundation Odyssey of the Mind flyer.

TEAMS ARE BEING FORMED NOW!
Participation is open to students in grades 3 – 12.  Teams of 5-7 students meet weekly from October – March, preparing for the State Competition on Saturday, April 2nd.  New teams will be formed based on availability of coaches. Teams can be coached by teachers and/or parents.  No previous experience is necessary.  Training, materials and mentoring is provided.
