Please take a few minutes to fill out the Rippowam Parent Survey. It’s very important to receive feedback to improve our school. Here is a link to the survey in both English and Spanish: http://www.rippowamib.org/parent-survey.aspx

- Donating supplies (expo markers, pens, pencils)
- Volunteering with set up/clean up
Any items donated can be dropped off at the main office with Carla Pinto. If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions please contact Kelly Robb kelly@connorrobb.com or Maria Cosentinodilly1025@sbcglobal.net
Mother’s Day Flower Sale — May 5 & 6 at Rippowam
Support the Rippowam Drama Club and keep your status as mom’s favorite by purchasing flowers for Mother’s Day. Cost is $3 for a single rose; $5 for a small bouquet and $1 for a card. Supplies will be limited so pre-order by May 2 with the attached form. Pick-up flowers and cards at the Sale Table (near the front entrance) before school, during lunch and till 2:45 after school.
Support the Rippowam/Scofield All-Girls Odyssey of the Mind Team
of 65 teams from across the globe. It was an incredible experience.
Using the World competition as inspiration, they increased their creativity and theatrics and earlier this month finished the Connecticut State competition with the highest style and spontaneous scores for their problem and division; once again earning an invitation to compete at the World Competition. The team is now challenged to raise $10,000 to cover costs associated with travel, room and board for the competition. This is a financial burden for many of the involved families. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Stamford Odyssey of the Mind program, and help get the team to the 2016 World Finals being held at Iowa State University from May 25 – 28.
Volunteers are needed for RAPTOR DASH! The event will take place on Wednesday, June 1. We need parents to volunteer to help run the course. We can’t do it without you! Please email Doris Tersigni-Frattaroli at dorriito@aol.comor Judy Klym at judyklym@gmail.com if you would like to help out.
The first 300 students to submit $25 or more in donations will get a Raptordash t shirt and a chance to ambush a participating administrator or teacher with silly string! Every additional $25 donated earns another silly string chance.
If you have any questions, or need additional information, please contact:

Rippowam PTO Announcment
RAPTORDASH IS COMING………………..
The Rippowam PTO, administration, and teachers are excited to announce the second annual all school RaptorDash FUNdraiser! It will take place onWednesday, June 1, during the school day (rain date will be Thursday, June 2). In short, RaptorDash is an obstacle style event that will take place in the gymnasium and outdoors on various school fields. The day will be filled with team-based competitions that include complex puzzles, brain teasers and physical challenges.
For the event to be successful, we will need parent volunteers. This will be a great opportunity to help our children, volunteer alongside teachers and administrators, while coming together as a community to cheer on our children. We promise an incredible day of FUN and FUNdraising! If you can volunteer your time, please visit our Rippowam Middle School, PTO volunteer spot link:http://tinyurl.com/jzhfr7m. Please hurry, time slots are filling up quickly!
Our school wide goal is to raise $20,000. Funds raised will go towards sponsoring programs that directly benefit our students’ daily experiences (in class resources, after school activities and a culminating 8th grade trip to DC).
The first 300 students to submit $25 or more in donations will get a Raptordash tshirt and a chance to ambush a participating administrator or teacher with silly string! Every additional $25 donated earns another silly string chance. And there are more prizes — see attachment for info., deadlines, and rules.
